Ceramics: Curbside Clay, 2022
This is a limited time service for MB ceramics students past and present.
Due to COVID-19 we are offering firings our dedicated students. Clay can be scheduled to be picked up outside MB several times throughout the season. Please contact our Ceramics Program Director to arrange your firings.
The Curbside Clay program allows bisque firings only during our Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall sessions (roughly 12 weeks). Students can take their time to using their clay at home, with options to purchase more for $30 a bag. Each student is responsible for bringng in artwork for bisque firing during their term and must be registered when dropping off works. Access to the studio and glazes are not included.
- This service includes one bag of clay.
- It also includes the bisque firing of all that is made from that one bag during the session.
- It does not include glaze or glaze firings, and does not include use of MB tools, studio or facilities.
- Work must be dropped off during a designated window for bisquing.
- Students have the option to glaze works in a future ceramics class or by registering as a CSA.
- An optional tool kit is available for purchase on our website for those who need tools to work at home.
After COVID-19 restrictions are lifted this program may be discontinued.
Dates for drop off will be scheduled with staff by individual appointment.
