Heather Simmons

I have worked in many mediums, including painting, metalwork and jewelry, cast iron, vitreous enamel, taxidermy, embroidery and most recently ceramics. Whatever the medium, I have always taken cues from my outdoor surroundings, often inspired by plants and animals as well as antique and vintage objects. I have a BFA in Painting from Syracuse University and an MFA in metalwork and jewelry from SUNY New Paltz.
